2. Homebuyer Survey & Valuations

Homebuyer surveys and valuations are carried out on behalf of mortgage providers or private individuals for residential property. These reports are in a format drawn up by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors to assist a home buyer in:

• making a reasoned and informed judgement on whether or not to proceed with a purchase;
• assessing whether or not the property is a reasonable purchase at the agreed price;
• being clear on what decisions and actions should be taken before exchange of contracts with the solicitors.

The report focuses on 'urgent' defects judged to be an actual or developing threat to the building or personal safety.
