Business Rates Assessments

Business Rates Assessments have been sent out for 1st April 2010.

Appeals against existing business rates will need to be submitted by 31st March 2010.  Appeals against the new list can be made after 1st April 2010.

The Professional and Surveying team have recently completed a successful Contract Administration role on a major building reinstatement project in Slough with a contract value of £650,000.  The project involved an escape of water in a large residential block.  The water had caused catastrophic damage to the building necessitating the relocation of 22 families over the duration of the 27 week project programme.  Essentially, large sections of the building had to be removed, the building dried out and subsequently reinstated.  The project was completed to time, cost and quality measures.  Client satisfaction measures were exceeded, so much so that the client has appointed Campsie to manage a second major project for them.

Campsie have just been awarded a Project Management contract on another escape of water project in the Docklands.  Again, a catastrophic escape of water in a residential block requiring removal of the water damaged elements of the building and subsequent reinstatement.  The project commenced on the 7th December 2009 and is due for completion in March 2010.  The project is on programme.
